For all those who never took the time out to connect to the Holy Quran (including myself) , please do it right now. And I’m not saying this because it’s the month of Ramadan and this is the month good deeds are multiplied and this is the month that the Quran was revealed to our Prophet Muhammad (SAW). Of course, all those are definitely prime reasons but I want to emphasise on what the Holy Quran can do for you. It’s the word of our Creator, the instruction manual sent down for fixing our lives. And how come we think we can live life without using the know-hows mentioned in this amazing book?
When we understand what the Quran says and reflect on it, we realise it’s talking to us. And it’s been there all the while, but we took it out to recite and read few translations here and there but never connected with it. In this technological age, so many sources of authentic translations and reflections are available that we are actually giving a sorry excuse when we don’t give the Quran a priority in our lives.
So please, I beg each of you, take it, read it, understand it, reflect on it and you’d find yourself implementing it slowly in your lives. And that is the path that would take us to our ultimate destination, Jannah…Aameen.
