Poetry #24 A night at the beach

Casting a sublime glow on the blackened water,
The moon stands regally disjoint from its entourage of stars,
Waves gently lap the shore with their foamy fingers,
Splashing and tinkling as they run back and forth.

The abandoned fishing boat beached on the sand,
Calms my senses with its rustic frames and boards,
The cool breeze persistently lifts my head scarf,
And rids me of my inner turmoil to an extent.

I see that nature is totally at peace with itself,
Reveling in the brilliance adorned by the Almighty,
In contrast with my disturbed mind and wordless sighs,
My crinkled eyebrows giving a window into my troubled mind.

The distant lights of the steamships show their purposeful stride,
The omnipresent rotating beam of the lighthouse never falters,
I watch the gushing freshwater mix into the salty expanse,
As the sea envelops the flowing river into its bosom.

I marvel at the perfect harmony of the waters of nature,
So selfless and unpretentious, making me reflect and muse,
Over my minute disparities from a picture-perfect life,
Drenched in the worries of being devoid of life’s normalcies.

Each and every creation of God salute Him with reverence,
Simultaneously and relentlessly offering humans numerous comforts,
Pleasures are strewn all around waiting to be splurged upon,
When man acknowledges the benefits he’s been endowed with.

I sense the positive vibes creeping into my distressed soul,
Momentarily subsiding the worries and apprehensions,
I know this rendezvous has not exactly opened up a solution
But has definitely shown the light at the end of the tunnel.
